Default Rally to Restore Sanity

I really wanted to attend this but I didn't have the money or time. I'm watching it on c-span right now and the crowds are HUGE. I never thought a rally to "restore sanity" would do well in our country due to the lack of sane people here, especially in politics.

Yeah I thought, and wished I could go. But money, time, and a lack of motivation hindered me.

It would have been pretty awesome to be able to attend, that's for sure.

I was there

I live like 15 minutes away from the mall, so I just walked there with my friend Collin.

It was so popular because everybody loves funny people.

For those of you who missed the event, it was pretty cool. John Legend and the Roots performed, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow did a new song that was appropriate for the rally and Ozzy performed Crazy Train, which sould be the theme song for politics in our country.

And Jon's closing speech perfectly summed up what's wrong with our country right now.

It's an Anime. There's a character named America and he's fucking hilarious.
He wears a bomber jacket which was and still is to some extent pretty popular in America.

Wait... KID ROCK WAS THERE?!

Yeah, here is the song Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow performed during the rally. It definitely fits the theme.

I think that so many people become too focused on the little things. Which isn't surprising really. The way the system is built, there are over 600 total members of govt, (senate, house, lobbyists, cabinet, prez, vice prez, etc) and become so focused on dems v repubs, libs vs conservs. that they forget that the POINT of it all is to do what's best, not just to win.
