I thought I'd posted on this already with all the threads on this O.o

Anyway, I'm pro-choice.

Meh, they're useful terms... the fact of the matter, though, is that people almost invariably mean different things when they use the same one of these terms. I think they can just confuse the matter- surely it just makes more sense for people to explain their views without resorting to apparentlyt ambiguous terms?

Yes, that is my take it on it. Presumably, though, Quentin disagrees: he seemed to be suggesting that abortion was wrong regardless of the foetus/embryo's development. Regardless, I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with him; I wanted to see/understand his reasoning.

Not fool proof unfortunately. Even some abortions fail and have to be re-done. xD

That's why for surgical procedures the woman has to be at least 4 weeks along, so the tissue is big enough that it can be confirmed.

IMO, you can't be pro-life and then state that you make exceptions in cases of rape or incest like mny pro-lifers seem to do.

They are basically saying that murder(their words, not mine) is justified by rape or diddling a family member but where does one draw the line?
If an 18 year old impregnates his 14-17 year old girlfriend, in many places that is considered statutory rape by law.
Using many pro-lifer's logic, that girl should be able to get an abortion, no questions asked even though she KNEW the possible consequences of having sex.

I think it's important to have and stick with terms like these because having all the exceptions and shit doesn't make for a good debate. If you're going to make exceptions in one case, why not all cases?
