I don't know.. I don't agree. I think music today is good. Of course, if you just open your tv or listen to radio, you may find that music sucks. Because the music they pass on radio and tv are popular musics that are made to sell a lot.
But if you're really interesed by music and search for it. They are plenty of amazinfg bands that are unknown. Just take the time to find them.

Well the reason why music of today sucks is because it's made solely for commercial purposes. Lady Gaga writes - or at least participates in the writing of - her music. Personally I think it's God awful anyway but she's the only 'pop' artist that deserves at least an ounce of respect. People like Justin Beiber, however, are something else. How the fuck he won 'artist of the year' when he doesn't write his own music is beyond me.
Here's how I see it; music is only an art when it expresses the creator(s) emotions, feelings etc. Most of the music today does not express emotion at all (Lady Gaga's 'The Fame monster' is a prime example of commercial garbage). This means it is not an art of any kind, right? What is music? It's an art! If music lacks art then it's not music. Thus we can conclude that the music today is not music.

Well back on topic.
I mean i HATE lady gaga. She can't really sing, she is really REALLY fake, and all her songs are "popular" because they hold some stupid beat that gets stuck in your head.
I hate ALOT of the pop genre in general. Most of it consists of well catchy beats and lyrics that get stuck in your head. Thats about it, it is just that shallow. With the invention of auto tunning even the worst singers can become famous. Look at Rebeca Black, she took things to the EXTREME.

The fact she can EXIST is also what makes todays music suck. Look at Justin bieber, he is famous from youtube. Which i will say is fine with me. But his songs are simple and are truly for a certain age group of girls. He will prob die out like alot of others.

so yes i HATE modern music.

To say that all modern music is awful is a bit silly. You can say you hate all Popular music currently airing on the radio/MTV and that's fine, but there is a lot of good music out there and a lot of talented musicians still that just aren't getting that kind of recognition. That doesn't mean there isn't any good music left, it just means it's harder to find.
