Is it okay to fantasize about certain stuff as long as it doesn't affect the real world?
Me and friend had a nice two hour conversation about this after watching Kick ass the movie. And when he stated how a lot of perverts probably got off on the one 10 year old character being in a school girl outfit in the film, I casually mentioned that why not it's just an outfit?
And then we got into a debate on how he thought it was immorally wrong to fantasize about a girl of that age period, and how I thought that as long as said pervert didn't put their fantasies into reality then what's the harm? We then got into different examples like is it okay for children at the age of 13 to see breasts or buttocks in the movies and I said sure as long as it's not obscene and the main focus of the films and I straight up said breasts are a natural part of the body so why should parents be so paranoid about nudity when it's natural? I straight up said seeing sex at that young age was wrong, but that's another topic I'll probably post later.
Anyway My question is to all of you, what do you all personally think about this subject? Do you think that as long as people don't let their fantasies, no matter how twisted and taboo it is enter into reality that it's okay?
I always loved fantasie.. it could be a problem indeed when some individuals mix their world with the real world...i think its fine to dreammmm but with ur feet on the ground as well.. there are some dreams which just dreammm and then we face a serious problem .. I like this subject .
And by the way sometimes some people act as if they are something they actually aren't.But they choose to believe they are . The Human Mijnd its very complex .. and some keep their sanity..some dont.
On one hand, it's sick, but on the other hand criticizing it would be hypocritical of me. Because I get off on violence, death, and destruction whereas I would never actually harm anyone (who didn't harm me first).
Same principle. You have those who let their warped fantasies effect reality and those who don't and keep it strictly in their head. No harm, no foul.
Besides, there are sick perverts everywhere. If you think about something, someone out there has a fetish for it. So there's really no avoiding it. I don't believe in thought police so so long as you don't harm anyone and keep it to yourself then there's nothing wrong with being a sick perverted bastard, just so long as you don't act on it.
As for nudity, more often than not, in movies it's going to be sexual. I can't fathom one example where it wasn't sexual for at least one character.
Shout, Shout, Let it all Out, These are the Things I Can do Without You Shouldn't Have to Jump for Joy, You Shouldn't Have to Shout for Joy
They Give You Life and in Return You Gave 'em Hell As Cold as Ice - No Bitch, You're Ice Ice Baby I Hope We Live to Tell the Tale, I Hope We Live to Shout the Tale
Will You Never Shout? And When You've Taken Down Your Guard... If I Could Change Your Mind, I'd Really Love to Break Your Heart! Come On Let Me Shout Shout Let Me, Come On Let Me Shout Shout!
As long as it stays in your head, it's OK. Fantasy reduces stress, so there's less of a chance of the person actually acting on it IRL.
However...
The other, very important part of that is the person's ability to control themselves. Sometimes, people get so overstimulated by their fantasies that they start to act them out IRL. Uh, oh...Then there's the reason the person finds that stuff arousing in the first place: If it's the result of their own abuse or trauma, then acting it out..even in their heads...isn't such a good thing b/c it's not so much about arousal as it is about the emotional trauma. I know, more than you wanted to know... this would require some good therapy to resolve.
So, it's 'OK' if good self control and judgement are in place. Those are qualities in short supply in adolescence, so the line can get blurred. that's why it's not such a good thing for youngling's with no experience (and therefore no real idea about what constitutes 'actual' sex) to be exposed to graphic sexual images. But, that goes to the thread you haven't yet posted.
i am the friend that he was have this conversation with. i think it wrong to ever just fantasize about it. if you are a pervert you are most like to act out on it bc that are eazy targets but that just me.
^ Not necessarily. People have the ability to restrain themselves. Just because they have those thoughts doesn't mean they'll act on it. No crime has been committed by simply thinking about something. Crime requires action.

yea but not all do. what adult in there right mind would fantasice about a 10 year old girl. when you are fantasice about then you are most likely thinking sexual thought about them and that just wrong.
Fantasy is nothing bad, but dont forget she is 14, not 10. So you're fantasizing about a teenage girl.
Anyways, if you are attracted to young girls you migh want to tell someone that an help you, because that is serious mental problem.
Fantasy itself is nothing harmful, however. Escaping from reality is definately exciting, and beautiful sometimes.
I personally believe just the thought itself is nothing harmful like you yourself said. But my thing is in the case of fantasizing about children, in addition to knowing your boundaries and having self control, So long as the fantasy doesn't turn into an obsession or constant thoughts it's cool, otherwise THAT's when there's grounds to seek help and when it becomes a mental problem. All I'm saying is yes the thought itself is immoral but as long as it doesn't get out of control, and you don't act it on, it's cool.
