Actually, they can. I've been attracted to people but not sexually attracted to them. It as more their personality than anything else.
To be honest I've only been sexually attracted to one person, but that was after years upon years of being attracted to his personality.
And then after I realized he got more stupid each time I saw him, I felt nothing after the attraction to his personality faded. It went away, disappeared.

So yes, it is possible. Just not likely.

The fact that you said you've only ever been sexually attracted to one person makes me feel like you're missing the point.

I was saying that you can be attracted without sexual attraction. In case I failed to mention it, the sexual attraction came long after the attraction.
