You say English is simple? Is that why we've all been speaking it for 16+ years and still make mistakes all the time? At least with Mandarin you rarely make mistakes, the only problem is seeing characters you haven't learnt yet - which only takes 4 seconds fix.

The Mandarin language has grammar really easy. Not to mention, once you can read Mandarin you can communicate with those speaking a few other languages too.

Besides, I'm sure people will learn it volunterily if others do. It's hardly a matter of 'force'...

I could understand both my friend. Since Portuguese is also a romance language, understanding Italian, Spanish, French and Romanian is very easy for me.
