That's because it's nation-wide. If it was just a state or some states doing it and that's what the people wanted, then it wouldn't be a big deal. For the light bulbs it's about the fact it's nation-wide and the people don't want it. So it's the fact that the government is forcing it on us that's the issue. Not so much the bulbs themselves really.

Long story short, when comparing the two, it's about states and the whole nation. And if the people want it or don't want it.

I think she has a point. It would be a lot bigger news if it was more than one state. I guess some would say that it's an indicator for the rest of the nation but that remains to be seen I think.

Well congrats to the peoples in New York for this. I know one of my friends is extremely happy about this. He's hoping that the same law will be passed here in Florida.
