We were in the midst of a laughter session in class when the news broke out. There had been serial bomb blasts in some parts of my city. We were told that it took place in town which is where my college is situated and in some other parts one of which is just 15-20 minutes away from my area.
At that moment the first thought that crossed my mind was, 'I've been very lucky today'. Had I attended college, I would have been stuck in town due to the commotion or even worse, been caught in the blasts had I passed the sites on my way back home. One of the sites was right next to my best friend's college. Luckily, he didn't go yesterday. My other friend missed it by 10 minutes as he took a bus from the bus stop where the bomb went off. My grandmother who visits one of the sites often was safe at home. My best friend who was at another site, luckily, left the place an hour earlier.
I remember the horror from 26/11, 11/7 and now this.
There were inputs that there were 8 bombs, 3 of which had gone off. If rumors are to be believed, no place seems safe right now except home.
As far as I know, everyone I know is safe and I'm very thankful for that.
I heard this only in the morning, and the good news, if there is any, is that the death toll is far below what the terrorists had projected.
The bad news is simply, people died... The ones who didn't, some were caught in the killzone, others were informed of their loved ones' fatalities.
Is there any reason? No. It seems to me, terrorists are much worse today than ever before. Yeah, that line may not make sense, but it just goes to show you, just when you think these guys can't get worse, they become worse.
Worst case Scenario? We get a new breed of Jokers... Men you just want to watch the world burn, them along with it, in the hope that they'll be granted martyrdom. Or some Spiritual abode.
can't even imagine.. how horrible! such attacks on innocent people.

This. Terrorism -sighs-, we need to all just take a breather and relax. Not hurt people more.

^When have people ever taken a step back? Arrogant pricks we are.
Good question. When will we finally realize we just destroyed each other and there are no lives left? :/ Sad but true.

It's like a plague. A plague so powerful that it eats away at us and we won't even realize it. Forget the zombie apocalypse. Forget the alien invasion. Forget the Mayan predictions.
We're going to be then end of ourselves. Sad thing is, we know we're going down, into an endless void, an abyss, a black hole, yet, we don't stop, we continue onwards. Stronger now than ever before.
I wish we could eradicate terrorism for good.
Unfortunately, it's not that easy.
Yes, fortunately, the the intensity was lower than they projected. Unfortunately, it was still an attack that had gruesome consequences.
The place has settled down and everyone's bounced back to their daily lives.
The spirit of Mumbai hasn't been crushed
