I alredy knew this picture. It saddens me everytime I see it. The world is cruel.
My mother has returned from Angola a couple of weeks ago. The things she saw have marked her forever, she says it's worse than when she had last been there. She showed me pictures and recordings. It wasn't pleasant at all.
Luanda's main streets are made out of dirt, there are tall buildings next to crumbling shacks, huge trash masses besides housing and a hideous smell. Theft and murder are common place and there are more people living in the streets than in a house.
It's horribly traumatic.
Mistakes are made, and regrets are our luggage; we will drag them with us to slow us down.
The victories are flashes of light, sudden and unlasting, which allow us to glimpse the road ahead before darkness descends.
Love is bitter, yet it is the bread that keeps us. Over and over it fills us up, only to starve us.

If you don't believe in God then you should realize that this is a human problem. It's the result of humans fucking shit up, not God.
Also who gives a shit what you believe and why you believe or don't believe it? It's your choice. No need to make a big deal out of it.
Look, structure and order and there for a reason is is stressed in the Bible as being something important. So is helping your fellow man. I mean, hello, ever hear of Missionaries? In places where there is not structure and order, what do you think happens? Shit happens. It's not God's fault, it's because there's no structure and order.
All problems can be solved with structure. Which is why there are Missionaries, doctors, and various people going out there to help.
God gave us all free will, with that comes great good and great evil. The choice is ours. Civilized countries have tried to create structure in uncivilized ones and apparently, they don't want it. They're perfectly willing to take our food we give them but not willing to create proper structure with our help.
Structure is key here. No structure means total chaos and with that it means to suffer. If you don't survive, it just means you're not strong enough.
