Well, if it ever comes down to it; you might not be so sure.

I would most probably keep the child.

My step cousin has down syndrome and is the most loving man I have ever met. He is continuing with his education and goes to college and day centres. He enjoys going to a restbite centre which promotes individual living - where he basically lives in a house in a mini village. I can't imagine him not being around...

My Dads cousin daughter also had downs syndrome and lives in sheltered accomadation at the age of 33 - she is getting married next year.

Who are we to deny these people a life?

Not all Down Syndrome babies come with severe medical risks. I'd keep the baby or give it up for adoption if I really felt like I couldn't handle it.
