Default god IS love??
i think this would make for a very interesting debate personally..

i've recently come across several people who believe that without god, one cannot truly love. is love and compassion something that comes simply from 'knowing god' or is it something that all humans are capable of in their own regards by nature?

Im perfectly capable of loving, and I have, yet i dont fully believe in the existence of god. Anyone who argues against this is silly imo, because I believe I've just proved it wrong with that little statement.

I kinda believe in God, but not 100%. I think love is something that all humans are capable of in their own regards by nature.

I don't believe in god, or any greater being. I have a happy life and I am perfectly capable of loving. The mere idea that that you have to believe in god to love is insulting.

exactly how i felt when i originally heard this. how can someone say that another does not truly love their family and friends because they are not religious? the idea is outrageous to me.

I have no belief but its weird to think you cannot love without it- surely it makes no difference, pretty much everyone knows the feeling of love and knows what it is...

The feeling we associate with "love" is simply a chemical release in our brains, so yes, everyone is capable of love, whether they think all this god BS is true or not.

Yup im pretty sure it is that. But for the spiritual side of the argument i know i dont need to care about god if i really love someone.

Hell if i loved god AND this person, i would think there is some sort of sick love triangle here! ;D
