So I've competed in many pageant since I was five, however I believe pageants are very superficial. Don't get me wrong, I love competing in pageants and I love winning in them, especially, but I personally just believe it's wrong to choose "the most beautiful" or whatever. However, I also believe pageants are something that should not be taken so seriously and should just be something to have fun with. What do y'all think?

And again, you are in denial if you don't acknowledge the fact that no matter how pretty you are, no matter how smart you are, no matter how psychically strong you are, there is always going to be someone better. I agree completely with you.

It's a beauty pageant, they're basing it on your appearance, if you don't like superficiality then don't do it. If you're so much into personality then start a personality contest.
Also, get you for winning them.
Just a tid bit here for "If you don't like it don't do it" many young kids and especially girls are forced by their parents.. hrs of practicing and etc. they make them look like zombies half the time, and the serious hardcore boobjobnutcasemoms actually have their 6 year old's teeth removed and put in perm ones. That can seriously kill their self esteem and how they see themselves.. also i think people who are older like teens and just enter are full of themselves thinking they're pretty..

Who's seen that show about the young girls who compete in beauty pageants? Absolutely disgusting.
If you are talking about Toddlers in Tiaras, then you have to understand that is for TV and that is radical.
