Religion is often a basic element of a society. There are a number of religions in the world, which do not match eachother's beliefs. However, they are followed by most of the people all over the world. A single person follows a single religion. But there are also some people who don't follow religions. Both of these two kinds of people think their respective paths are right.
In this debate, I ask you to express your personal views on whether one should follow a religion and why, regardless of whichever religion you belong to.
We as a society shouldn't really do anything other than leave people alone and let them decide if they want to follow a religion or not. That's what I think.
I'm religious, yeah, but I really don't give a rats ass if someone else isn't religious or not.
Following a religion or not is a personal choice you make. It's a choice you make that's right for you. And that's all.

Personally I think that religion can be bad for people but good for others, example; a lot of people let religion take over their lives and live really strictly by the rules and I think that's just stupid. What is the point of living if you don't make mistakes or if you.. lets say cover your head "out of respect" I don't get it. You can probably tell I'm not religious at all, I don't believe in it and never will. Another thing, I still don't get why people like being restricted from things - in life you learn to take risks and Idk.. I just think religion doesn't belong here.
My last point is that religion just causes conflict and it heats wars up and omg I could just go on forever.. straight to the point (no offence to religious people but this is my opinion) religion is bullshit and I don't agree with most of them anyway.
I think religion is something personal and it does not make up who you are. I have many friends of different religions and I don't think it's important as a whole, just to each individual.
I ,personally, don't see how religion can be of any importance to me therefore I don't follow one but for some people it's a very important part of their lives and they should be allowed to follow it if they wish.
Personally...religion can be irritating to me..and I don't think it really does anyone any good with some of the things I hear when I'm forced to go to church..but that isn't for me to say. I know, for some people, it really matters to them.
I don't think anyone can answer on behalf of anyone else as to whether or not you should follow a religion because it's a personal thing, as I and others have said. It should not affect how you see a person, in my opinion. You should follow it if you want to, and you shouldn't be told that you shouldn't for any reason and vice versa. There's nothing more annoying than someone trying to convert you or trying to pull you away from your faith....it doesn't even matter.
