I'll drop you a VM when I find some. I agree that while it does vary from band to band and label to label, realistically bands might see $0.0010 USD from you buying a $13 CD at any random Walmart or Tesco when it's all said and done. Retail stores pay their suppliers in advance for the merchandise that they sell on their shelves, with a slight markup. When you buy a CD, it's already been bought from the supplier by the retail store, the main percentage of the sale goes to the store as profit from that markup.
If you buy a song from the iTunes store, part of the sale goes to Apple and part (or rather, most) goes to the song's record label. You must stream a song on Rhapsody 849,871 times for a band to make $0.0022. I'm not joking, lol. It's ridiculous.
