People care so much about looks because that's the first thing you learn about a person. You're not going to see a person for the first time in a picture or on the street, find them physically unattractive to you and think, "Wow, I bet that person has a great personality!" But I do agree with the people who said it's an instinctual thing, too.

Looks are the least thing I'm worried about it. They can be an asshole for all I know and I'm sitting here and like, "Oh my gosh, I am gonna date this person because their so sexy" Please. They've gotta be a gentleman/good person before they even can get near me. Just because their good looking doesn't mean I will sit there and take their bullshit.
