Do you think racism is something that will become a thing of the past or something that will get worse and worse?

I think it will become more insidious and harder to spot.

I think that it's something thing will obtain and maintain equilibrium, as all thing naturally do. perhaps this is the equilibrium. Where institutionalized racism is not accepted, but quiet and personal racism persists because nothing can be done to eradicate it short of personal therapy/education of each racist individual. which isn't an easy feat.

Personally I believe that Race is an imaginary and sensleess border. Why must we classify ourselves by common characteristics such as skin colour? Why can't we be free to just be individuals and treat skin tone as we treat hair colour?

Get worse and worse? How so? It's bettered SO much.

It's always going to be there, but it depends on the people, how you were taught, where you live, etc. Things like that. I think it will be less but we're greedy selfish humans and it's always gonna be there.

People might group together. Don't forget, Hitler died in '45. That's pretty recent, and the KKK too, it hasn't been that long so stuff like that can always reform again.

Without going into details, i think it will increase because of crisis and the distrust that it had generated. Automatically people look for a whipping boy during a crisis, and foreigners evoke fear.

Decrease of course. Nobody's going to "group together", nobody's bothered to, and if they do I doubt it'd have any effect on whether or not racism will go on the rise. Also, you've forgotten that the KKK and Neo-Nazis are still around, but they're such small groups now that they don't even matter. You don't hear anything about them in the news

Humans instinctively hate and fear what is different, which is why we've walled ourselves off from the rest of humanity into our own little cliques for millennia. Instinctive xenophobia once served as a protective evolutionary trait that ensured our survival, but these days the whole racism thing has become a hindrance to our continued success. We're sending chucklefucking space probes beyond the outer reaches of the Solar System while at the same time still caring about unimportant shit like race.

It'll get better. Intolerance is subsiding. Just not quickly. But it will never completely go away.

I think it will stay mostly stagnant, at least in the first world. Maybe it will get better once the generation that was brought up in the 40s and 50s pass on, but after that, definetely stagnant. In the second and third worlds, I think it will either drastically increase (ruthless, homogenous dictators) or drastically decrease (the downfall of ruthless, homogenous-minded dictators)
