I never said it was the same, it's a point I made along with it. A lot of people see Christians as people who just try to lure you into their religion and a lot of muslims who saw that event (quran burning) thought that ALL christians were disrespectful.. well they're not and that's what I'm trying to say about muslims just because some are a bit mad and start doing shit that harms others shouldn't make the overall religion look bad and whatever they're doing and justifying with religion is as bad aswell and they should be punished for it.
I don't really have much more to say about what's in the quran as I've read what.. 12chapters? It's not enough to justify what I say but it's enough for me as a person to understand it and say my opinion in which I said before that most of the quran that I've read does enforce peace.

Islam is the truest religion and it's totally peaceful...and in fact Islam means peace in Arabic!! Muslims would never kill anyone who insulted their religion bcz they know that god will punish him himself!! and what would you call what America and Israel are doing in Iraq and Palestine...Spreading peace and love?? of course not...they are the source of all the problems in the world...they just care about their capital..as soon as they knew that Iraq has the biggest supply of Petrol in the world they colonized it...with the lie that they have dangerous nuclear weapons! and about 9\11 do you know that Arabs has nothing to do with it??America has trained a group of Arab soldiers to crash the world trade center as it'd get rid of their unjust presidents in return..but they just got fooled...and it just did that to distort our perceptions and so everyone to see as nothing but terrorists!! and all of what you said about our Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) is untrue!! you know nothing about us...and you don't have any evidences for what you're talkin about!! and you should respect our religion as we're respecting urs and others!! no one likes his religion to be insulted!!

TL;DR to the thread. I browsed through the posts, and have this much to say:
1. Every religion has extremists within them. To say otherwise is ignorance. Yes, you may not be able to see them, but then again, are you naive enough to believe only that which you see?
2. When debating about religion, you must understand that the only thing that one could hope as the result is better understanding of the topic at hand, as we are expected and required to respect all religious beliefs. It is impossible to say one must not follow a particular religion and then point out some extreme cases, siting them as proof.
3. There are a fair number of Muslims here on the forum, and many more who join us everyday, it isn't fair to them if we were to start questioning their gods, my reason being disclosed in point 2.
4. Also, please don't point to every single terrorist attack and then blame Islam. Many are much too complex to be comprehended, while others have rich conspiracies embedded in them.
5. This is point 5. TL;DR? Basically, there are only 4 points.
Also, warning: These are only personal opinions. If you feel any are wrong on any level, feel free to debate me in the matter. But do try to understand my perspective as well.

3. It's not about questioning their gods, it's about tolerating Islam. There's a big difference.
It's a pretty tough issue, I think. As Josh implied (if not said outright), to claim that Islam is a religion of peace is pretty misleading. Many of those Muslims who claim that it is tend to be those lacking proper scriptural understanding/knowledge... they're the Muslim equivalent of liberal Christians (of whom I am heavily critical), I think.
Does this mean the religion shouldn't be tolerated? I don't think so, but in truth I don't really know.

I'm not being biased (or at least trying not to be), but you cannot confirm that. Yes, it does appear that way, but you cannot, with absolute certainty, use that as a fact.
I've heard of extremists from all religions, and even I (THINK) there are a higher number of them in Islam as opposed to other religions, but after a lot of general reading and understanding, it seems that it may just be an illusion.
