"There's Nothing More Dangerous Than a Mother With Her Child"
Two guys try to break into a womans home, she shoots and kills one to protect herself and her son while on the phone with the police. Her husband died of cancer not long before this happened so she lived alone with just her infant son and her dog.
The cops would have taken forever to get there, it was a matter of survival. God only knows what they would have done to her, her son, and her home had she done nothing. She did what she had to do to protect herself, son, and home from harm.
But damn, talk about the true definition of a Mama Bear (she even has her own entry on the TVTropes page under the Real Life section).

Okay, I get protecting son and all but was it obvious she was home? I think she could have maybe let him step in and be like "leave or you get shot" because it was obvious he had a knife, not a gun. I guess it's impossible to say how I would react if I was put in that situation but it seems just a little quick done. I know if he was legit trying to hurt my son i would do what I had to do, but it seems like there wasn't given a chance..? or why didn't she shoot his leg or something? It wasn't like the cops weren't on their way there..

I think burglars are stupid personally. Why would they fuck with people who have children in the house? If it was my child then they better stay the hell away.
I also think that the law about but being able to defend yourself in your own home is ridiculous. I'm glad they're both okay and I'd rather one criminal be shot than a mother and her child.

basically her husband died of cancer on christmas, the shooting was on new year's eve, two guys, one a stalker, 12 inch knife i think.
