DCA has only been in preclinical studies. There is a theory that it will cause cancerous cells to self destruct (Through inhibiting PKA and forcing the mitochondria to act a certain way). However, it is unlikely to cure all forms of cancer and has never been tested on humans, animals, cancerous cells. And Pharmaceutical companies won't run clinical trials because it's completely patientless so they might not get a return on the investment of millions of dollars they spend running the clinicals.

If there was a real cure for cancer, are you gonna tell me that every single doctor wouldn't try this on their patients, that no doctor truly cares about the patients. I have had family pass away from cancer, and my grandfather has beaten prostate cancer, and it wasn't using this.
I often don't have a rhyme or reason, only a rhythm.
Dunno but I do strongly believe a cure has been found like Gray said. Just not being made available to the public for financial reasons. Billions of dollars go into research every year, are you telling me they STILL haven't found a cure? Don't think so.
Sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive
I get it custom, you a customer
You ain't ‘customed to going through Customs, you ain’t been nowhere, huh?

I do believe that most doctors care about their patients and have a desire to save lives. Big Pharma on the other hand is a different story.
In order for a cure to reach the hands of doctors, it has to go through an incredibly long and drawn-out approval process by the FDA, amongst other things. And it's no stretch to conclude that Big Pharma ultimately has a hand in what goes through and what doesn't. The pharmaceutical industry pulls in billions each year, and there's no way in hell these filthy capitalist scum would ever let a cure go through that would eventually result in the death of that lucrative industry.
A similar parallel can be seen in the automotive industry where truly fuel-efficient cars will never be made, for the same reason.
Technological progress put on the back burner in favor of milking profit. Capitalism strikes again.

Given the conditions that the drug would not have been tested in any clinical studies (Pharmaceutical companies would refuse to run these), it would be dangerous and, in my opinion, kind of irresponsible for a doctor to begin testing it on his patients. There could be major side effects that are unknown to him or anybody else. However, clinical studies are expensive and the only ones who can really afford to put them on are Pharmaceutical companies.
