Animals don't have heart attacks because they have an enzyme, which we don't have, to produce their own vitamin C. This goes for any animal. Carnivores, Omnivores, and Herbivores. We could eat as much meat as we want if we had an adequate daily intake of Vitamin C (Which, looking at most peoples diets today, we don't).
Are you really trying to convince yourself that we're herbivores because the high cholesterol coming from eating bad fat leads to heart disease?
Hate to break it to you, but there's a lot of other shit that leads to heart disease that you've seemed to overlooked:
a family history of heart problems
long term smoking
high blood pressure
diabetes or obesity
and lack of exercise
And let's not even go into the numerous health related problems that comes with being a vegetarian.
