What do you think about them? I of course mean substances illegal in most of the world.
I am a recreational drug user, and I dislike the stereotypes. Contrary to what many believe, there are people who like to use drugs, that are happy, can have fun without them, and are not screwing up their lives.
I think they should all be legalized, even heroin and meth (which I'd never use). Criminals can make money off of these things, and the illegality doesn't really stop anyone. If one of my dealers got caught by the cops, I'd have a few other ones to call.
Unless one gets all 1984 on this, it can't be stopped. So why not just let people that wouldn't kill someone make the money off of it? Besides, if they're taxed they could really help economies.
The only drug I use every day is caffeine. Because it's the best drug ever. Other than that I have no opinion on drugs. I won't use marijuana or any illicit drugs. I've seen what they can do to people and I'd rather avoid that personally. And something to do with dopamine but that's unimportant.
Should we legalize them? Only in certain countries. In the United States? No. We shouldn't. The War on drugs serves the military industrial complex. Our economy and society are so intertwined with that I wouldn't mess with something that feeds it. That's asking for major major trouble. The tax they collect won't be enough to fill the vacuum in the MIC that the war on drugs would leave. Until we figure out how to get rid of this marriage, it would be very very dangerous to legalize drugs here. It sounds good on paper, but beware the unintended consequences. You'll have quite a large chunk of the federal bureaucracy up in arms when people start losing their jobs because all drugs are now legal. So no. It would be disastrous in the USA to legalize them until we find a way to get rid of our dependence on the MIC.
i personally would never use them
but i think that certain ones should be legalised and taxed (not crack, meth etc)
ones that are state regulated and taxed would be a lot safer (they wouldn't be cut with rat poison for example)

How would people lose their jobs?

That's a pretty presumptuous thing to say. It's also kind of short-sighted to say drugs shouldn't be legalized because you associate some idiocy with them. Wouldn't dropping crime rates both in the USA and abroad far outweigh that?
See gangs and overall dangerous people sell things like pot and can be very violent even kill over it and they can do this because whoever is buying has no choice there is no regulation over it, but if it was legalized and taxed everywhere it would be safe there for greatly dropping crime rates

I will never take drugs, other than the obvious caffeine and medicine obviously. I see no reason why you can't be happy without drugs, it's just wasting money.

I think that recreational (illegal) drugs should not be used, while I don't necessarily think that the drugs should be government-regulated, I don't think that they are right.

They are physically dangerous. They can kill you. If you had a choice of using or not, why would you use them?

I agree with this point. Government shouldn't have jurisdiction over drugs use. An example of a bad case of this would be the American Prohibition in the early 20th century. However, I do believe that drugs are wrong. They just shouldn't be controlled by the government.
