i have to disagree because the definition of a species is a group of creatures that ONLY MATE WITHIN THAT GROUP, thus two species cannot mate (or can't produce fertile offspring)
i think that this question is not answerable for non-creationists. another reason Christianity rocks.

Egg, because to make an egg that didn't just have yolky stuff in it, you would need two chickens... right?
But then you would need two eggs to hatch to make an egg that had chick in it and... oh, I am utterly confuzzling meeself.
