Egg: Reason? Simple an egg is the evovling stage of life with a shell or in 1 simple word: Cell. Since life cannot start without virus, bacteria and cells, it won't start. Since Eggs are cells the Egg had to come first.
Neither of them really "came". The Chicken had to be their to produce the egg, but the egg had to be there to produce the chicken. It depends at which point you consider it a chicken.
Actually, I suppose the egg coming first makes sense. The two animals that were as close to being a modern chicken as possible reproduced, and out of the egg came what we call a chicken. Hm...
There was this Vore chart that could explain it really well.... But I cant find it.
The chart consisted of the evolution of chickens and foxes.
Chickens were dinosaurs.
So if you wanna talk evolution, the chicken came first.
But, really, evolution is so gradual. The closest thing from a chicken could have been 0.01% away from being a chicken.
Anyway, I still believe it was the chicken as roosters also have to be taken into consideration.
Chickens can make an egg without a rooster, but it would have no life in it.
Does that mean roosters evolved with the chickens?
And if that is the case... did the rooster come from a chickens egg?
