i have them knock on the door when my family are not in and they try and get me to believe the rubbish. do people think theyre stupid? i do.

I don't know much about them.

What I do know is that my cousin's wife was raised one and that no matter what the religion is, you shouldn't mock it.

I may not believe what they believe, but that doesn't make them stupid.

Fine, i understand they have a belief and everyone is entitled to be whatever religion they want to be..
but they should stop trying to make everyone else conform. I do not enjoy people trying to brainwash me, thank you very much.

As long as they arent trying to get you to conform to their religion and be a nuisance to you then fair enough. I think that no matter what religion you are people can be stupid and do stupid things but being being a Jehovahs Witness doesnt make you stupid automatically, there are stupid Christians and stupid people all over the world

No one tries to get anyone to conform.

Conforming is a one person thing, they can't make anyone conform, they know that.
They simply preach what they believe in. It's your choice to believe it.

Brainwashing? How is it brainwashing? Brainwashing is forcing you to believe certain things, however people have what's called: Will Power. Thus you'd have to force it when they are young OR force them to believe it and if they don't believe it they'll have vast amounts of pain thrust upon them.

Brainwashing people who know how to think is a lot harder than people realize.
That's why people prefer to get them while they're young. I mean, we don't have as strong of a thinking power then.

If you choose to believe it - then it's a choice, not brainwashing.
If you don't then whatever, it's just not what you believe in.

JW, from what I'm aware of, go around spreading what they believe in.
I can't say as though I agree with the whole door-to-door thing but they're just spreading the word the way they believe they should.
At least that's what I gather from it.

Brainwashing is way off from what they do. Let's just make that clear, okay?

I hate them! they come to the door when im busy and stand their in them stupid gown things and when we say we dont want to know they come back the next week at the same time like wtf?

I do agree they can be annoying if they knock regularly and unwantedly. I dont have a problem with their dress code lol

whenever they come to our house we just dont answer the door anymore...
and the reason they come to our doors is not to make us knowledgeable about their religion/beliefs. But it is to try and make us a JW. some people who are naive will be influenced from this to conform.

That's naive? If someone believes in it then it's their own choice to convert.
It's not conform, it's convert, by the way.

Perhaps they just find their way appealing?
People have the right of Freedom of Religion. You can believe what you want, it's not naive to convert.

I mean Atheism get's shoved down my throat wherever I go...
It's just as bad as shoving a religion down your throat.
Of course they want you to become JWs... That in of itself isn't necessarily wrong.
In order to get any converters, you must first make them knowledgeable of your religion.

Everyone is like that even if they don't want to admit to it... They just want people on "their team".

And so long as it's not a radical group, it's fine to believe in it. It's fine to convert, I have a cousin who was raised Baptist and converted to Catholicism.
It doesn't matter what it is... People believe what they wanna believe.


But hey, we're all raised to be biased.

They are not stupid, they just want people to know about their beliefs as they think they are right. You do not have to open the door to them and even if you do, they do not force you to become one they just try and teach you about there way of things. You can say no and I am sure they will understand.

As for brainwash you, I think that is a bit far fetched lol They don't brainwash you at all, some people believe their ways, some don't, either way YOU have a choice on whether you want to become one or not. They can not make you become one if you say no, if you say yes then that is up to you.
