Is it normal for a teenager to struggle to get out of bed in the mornings or to concentrate on anythingfor any length of time? is it normal for a teenager to cut themselves or drink alone in the dark? these are just some of the things my parents shrug off when I talk about the fact that I may actually have a problem. I've arranged a doctors appointment for next week but am I wrong? are these actually things that all teenagers do that I just don't notice?

You're not abnormal because a lot of teenagers struggle with depression. BUT that doesn't mean its healthy, just because its normal. Its clearly past the point of feeling a bit low and the GP appointment really is important. This won't go away without treatment, and you need to get it before your depression goes any further.

Some people havent found their Self.. their personality... They are not sure for some things... they have no Faith in their self.. their ego is small... They underestimate their self... They suffer by others.. others hurt them ...

Depression is something very Common for Teenagers , Do you have friends?

Teenagers have a hard time getting up because most teenagers are sleeping late and they need to wake up for school and they're simply too tired to. Teenagers also have different levels of attention span. It's not normal for a teenager to cut themselves or drink alone if they're depressed. You seem to be depressed in my opinion. I would recommend seeing a counselor for help if you're drinking and cutting. They will give you the proper treatment for you to live a happy lifestyle.

In regards to your parents, have you talked to them about your issues? They may also help as well.
