Icon9 Feeling Down

Hey, im back. Havent been on the forumz in a long time, dont usually go on unless im depressed. And as you can probably tell from the title, and since i am on Teenforumz im feeling kinda depressed.

Lately i have been feeling kinda chumpy. I have put on a good 20lbs since june, and have quit working out completely. i cant help but feel unaccomplished in most asspects of my life, i feel like i havent done anything. I dont own a car, go out and party much, dont have/or ever had a girlfreind, i dont go out and do anything, or have much fun. I likely have more hours logged on my xbox in the last 6 months than in the last 2 years. I'm not sure what i should do.

Get some decent friends, even if they're online.

Little white flowers will never awaken you, not when the cold depths have all but overtaken you.

Dearest, The days are all so long,
and in the shadows I spend them all.
My heart and I long for slumber.
Slumber I'm caressing you, I bless your touch, I lust for you.
Slumber you are not a dream, Not as much as you seem.

I got some good freinds, and i talk to them but they dont seem to have any overlly helpful advice. I've been given advice ranging from smoke some weed, to "go out and meet somebody". Neither sounds like a decent suggestion

Well you've already identified some of your problems and solutions right off the bat. You gained weight, and stopped working out. Well it looks like it's time to start of again. Get out again and go to gyms, meet some people and create a routine for yourself so you can lose some weight and gain some friends at the same time.

Also, you don't need to party of have a girlfriend to be accomplished in life. You need to do things that make you happy. This can be from getting a job you like, getting a paper done, writing a book, making someone feel happy, losing a few pounds, learning something new. Anything.

Second problem and solution. You say you don't go out, and spend more time on your xbox. So, get off the xbox and go out and do something. Ask your friends to hang out. Invite some people over or something.

As for the car, that's not such a big deal. I know someone who's 21 and doesn't have a car. My boyfriend is 18 and still saving up for a car. Having a car isn't the biggest deal in the world.

You sound pretty much bored and like nothing is going on with your life. Solution? Go do something. Apply and get a job somewhere, give yourself something to do. Go out with friends and meet some people. Do something you enjoy doing other than xbox or something that involves staying at home. Work out and make a goal. Just give yourself something to work for or do and I feel like you'll feel better about yourself.

Well i live in a town of population 1500, i have a job, but have been "laid off" for about 5 months so. So theres not alot to do in a town with a liquor store, a gas station and a hardware store :/ most of my freinds are in the nearest big town 45 min away.

As for lifting weights i just am lacking the motivation to go in and do anything. Theres been a couple times ill go the the gym all ready to go, workout for like 5 min then just leave :/

Well, I know how you feel. And it's tough sometimes. I hope things start looking up for you. The best advice I can give you (knowing what I know), is that you should go out and do something that you find fun. That may not seem like much but it's a good first step in feeling a little better. Whether that be hanging out with friends or doing a hobby that you really enjoy, Just doing something fun once or twice might provide you with some motivation to feel better about yourself. And I would also suggest that you find someone that you can trust and talk to about how you are feeling and stuff like that. It may not seem like much but it can make a world of difference sometimes.
