my boyfriend's mom has been a bitch to me lately. she told me that i should bow down (literally) every morning to my boyfriend because he's still around, even tho i'm pregnant and is willing to be there every step of the day. i understand the part about appreciating him, but bowing down to him?!

Don't listen to her B. What's important is that you and your boyfriend are happy together and she's not part of your relationship with him so she doesn't need to get involved. I'm sure you do appreciate him just all couples normally appreciate each other around but you shouldn't have to bow to to him. You're the pregnant one remember

From the other things you've said on here about her, it does seem as though something is troubling her about all of this and if you feel you can, try and talk to her and explain that this is what you want, that you and your boyfriend are both happy and even if she's not happy about it, you want her to understand and accept it.

Thats just a stupid thing to say I mean why should anyone bow down to anyone! We are all free, there isn't really anyone more important than oneself.

I find it very amusing that she thinks you should bow down to him because 'he's still around'. She must think that 90% of men on this planet ditch their girlfriends once they've became pregnant.

Ignore her, what she's saying is pathetic. As long as you and him are happy then that's all that matters, and you shouldn't be bowing down to him for being around, he's going to be your childs father, it is his RESPONSIBILITY as a DAD of your child to be there to support you and the baby.

he wouldn't have me bow down to him. he thinks it's stupid. but he's a mommy's boy, so anything she says goes, basically.
