When I was like...2 to about 7 they'd send me up to my room for about an hour, but that was it, at most it was once night, but I'd just end up reading or something. Not that sort of stuff doesn't work, so my mum just gives me the silent treatment if I do something wrong, and that's even worse than being grounded. My dad seems to think it'll still work, so he tells me to go up to my room, and I just walk out the house and sit outside. If my dad does get me to go up to my room, he turns my electricity off, so I don't have any light, clock or telly. But I just read or listen to music, which isn't really a punishment. I've never been grounded for more than a night.
