Movie Relationships
Every time I watch an action, or fast-paced movie there's always a main character man and women who hook up at the end. Like at the end of the movie, after a huge battle and the man has 'rescued' the woman, they share this 'passionate' kiss.
It sickens me because when you take a look at the real world, how many times would that happen? Just because a man and a women go through a lot doesn't mean they have to get together.
What are your opinions?

Re: Movie Relationships
I don't mind the rescuing of a female because honestly - that could happen.
What I hate is to see this averaged size woman kicking the ass of a large and highly-trained man.
The physics are against it, by the way. The most realistic fight was in Total Recall - in which she did all the stunts.
But, yeah, I hate the whole romantic interest thing after they've only known each other for one or two days (as that is usually the case).
Which is why I generally prefer buddy films - cuts out the romantic interest and all.
Point is, I agree. But what I really hate is a love/hate relationship between the two - so annoying.
If they are going to have it, then they could at least shake it up a little bit and have the guy be full of wit and tease and the girl gets angry and frustrated with it - normally I see the opposite except with the man being dumbfounded.
But, that's Hollywood for you... a romantic.

Re: Movie Relationships
Well Hollywood needs to come with some new ideas, and fast.
I like watching movies were the guy is funny and makes the girl mad, but they're friends. No romantic relationship whatsoever.

Doesn't necessarily mean they stay together afterward though, does it? Unless there's a sequel. Also, in the real world, how many times do we have climatic battles such as those represented in films?
Sorry, just nit-picking...I understand what you said.
Yeah, I find it annoying at times.

Re: Movie Relationships
Lol, i know what you mean it happens in so many films, but tbh all of those films are not usually realistic in the first place so why does the guy/girl sit have to be?
♥. Just another day like any other,
Nothing in the sky said run for cover,
There was no parade,
No lights flashing,
No songs to sing along the way. ♥

Re: Movie Relationships
Because it happens all the dang time. The over all plot could be totally different from other movies... but the relationship factor still remains.
Realistic, unrealistic, whatever... it just happens to damn much.

Re: Movie Relationships
I hated the relationship between the main actor and actress in that looney tunes movie with Brendan Frasier :(
That is to me, a perfect example of what we're rambling about in this thread..
