Default To Kill a Mockingbird

Book and movie really.
Who else loves it? I watched it as a child and fell in love with it and it was even better when I read the book.

Book Wiki [en.wikipedia.org]
Film Wiki [en.wikipedia.org]

Anyway, it's awesome. I've always loved the movie and it's great to watch more than once.

But, of course, it's black and white so despite it's awesomeness I'm sure most of you wouldn't wanna watch it.
But you're missin' out, because it's great and that courtroom scene is just fabulous!

It's a wonderful American Southern Gothic book and movie.

Also, it's name is in reference to how it's a sin to kill a mockingbird.
If you watch it, you'll understand just what it means too.

I can appreciate why it's good, but since I had to study this like hell in English Literature, I hate it .

we had to study it in english in year 9 (aged 14). it was the first time me and the boy next to me got on. he didn't chuck my stuff off the desk for two weeks because we were two of the few in the class who really appreciated the book. i never studied it in great depth because my teacher was so crappy so i can still really enjoy it (then again, everything i have studied in english i still love...)

But yes! I love the book and the movie isn't as good, but it's still pretty amazing.

it is a really slow book, but that's part of the beauty of it, it totally feels as slow as the town is. it's like you can feel the drowsiness of the heat and the way everything just plods along.

i suppose it could be like marmite though, you either love it or you hate it.

Can't appreciate a great book just because you had to study it in school? Pathetic, boy.

Nerf herders... Except for Meta, she's not one.

I studied it in depth, read it 3 times, and have watched the movie 5 times.
It only gets more awesome each time because if you pay attention, you catch on to a lot.

Just because my taste doesn't conform to yours does not make me Pathetic, Marietta.

Besides, I said I can appreciate why it's good, but English Literature ruined it for me.

And Cornish Lemans agrees with me, is he also pathetic?

I think you should chill out abit Marietta, it wasn't a personal attack on you.

You can't take a joke can you? Geez, I was just giving you a hard time, boy, don't get your panties in a knot.

Anyone who lets a class ruin a good book is pathetic, that's what I was talking about.
