Why did the tv cancelled tv shows like flash forward, miami medical and ghost whisperer??i mean, it's not finished.. now, who is going to know what happned??

in flash forward:
-did mark died?
-the blackout? what did they see?
- who else died?
- why are they creating the blackouts?
-...

ghost whisperer:
-what did the shadows want after all?
-why is melinda's son so special?
-...

and Moonlight, which had been cancelled for a year now (more or less) is going to be back. although the main guy (Alex O'Loughlin) is performing another tv show "three rivers" as a doctor.. and i think this tv show is totally fake even if is with doctors.. i hope Mick St. John come back soon..
same will happen with blue mountain state, which will come back for the 2nd season.

at least tv shows like bones, fringe, csi, house md (huddy is back), chuck, true blood (season 3 is starting now but they advanced that there will be a 4th season) will still be runing...

nothing has been said about supernatural, NCIS and the vampire diaries


what bothers me is that there are so much tv shows with less audience than flash forward and ghost whisperer and they are still running. why cancel these ones?? :(

I don't know. But I do know I'm irked about Wolf Lake and Pushing Daisies.

But it has to do with not just ratings but also how it can be further marketed plus if the fans want it bad enough to petition for it (like with Chuck for example - originally it wasn't supposed to have another season).

Also it depends on the network, the writers, the creators, how the plot can be furthered.
A bunch of other stuff too.

It sucks, but it happens.

what do you mean by "ran it's course"? do you mean that they were off something to write? no, there's so much to be explained... every single character owns an explication... nothing is revealed.. everything is in suspense... argh

well in ghost whisperer, that might have had happened because although there are still questions to be answered, i don't think that would fullfil an entire season (that's were imagination should come in)

I mean like, it had it's prime and now it's past it, regardless of what questions need answering.
It could be writers don't wanna keep writing it, the company no longer wants it, it's been on too long, etc.

Or it could just be the writers messed up and didn't think of everything. That happens a lot in series - questions needing to be answered but they never get answered because the writers forget.

Or it could just be it's been on too long. Very few shows can withstand this one. The only two I can think of off the top of my head are Dallas and CSI. Oh, and day-time Soaps... but those are meant to drag on for years and years and years.
Those only so much you can do with certain shows, esp. if it involves science.

but, for example, csi could end up now that everything was solved.. dr. jelkyl was found and killed... now, flash forward has only one season... but yes about ghost whisperer has 5 already

I liked this one show called Fosters home for Imaginary Friends when I was younger. It got cancelled last year and I practically cried.

My favorite cancelled show that's not for kids is Better Off Ted. Fox always cancels shows when there's only a few episodes.
