I have not seen Eclipse yet, I plan to just because I've already seen the first two, I'm bored, so why the hell not?
I thought the first movie was total shit to be honest though. The second one was much better though.
Anyway, I don't think it's ruined Vampires per-se. Vampires will always being the lovable homicidal bloodthirsty sex-crazed maniacs in my mind (the reason why I hate them so much now is because pop culture has strayed too far from it, even if they are violent they are always the angst ridden anti-hero).

hum.. interesting.. on this new movie, eclipse,i saw more guys than girls.. and director has changed and lots of guys say it's much better than the other 2. i am a fan of twilight and i hated the first 2 movies... and i loved this one... so why don't you give it a try to see the movie and then you talk again. but see i understand your point of view,.. but see this:
edward cullen isn't a normal guy(not talking about the whole vampire thing) but he is a gentleman, a true gentleman.. so , once there aren't guys like that anymore, he had to be from a different era.. and the only way that would happen was if he was a vampire.... this is my point of view. it's also kind of ancient guys vs modern ones
Personally, I'm gonna have to go with Dracula. I like the Blade movies (though I never got to see the third one) and all but it's hard to go wrong with Dracula...and if you do go wrong, then it's a whole new level of fail.
Dracula will always be the most badass Vampire, hands down.
