Just saw this on Xbox Dashboard and I didn't see a thread about it yet, so I thought I'd make one. It's about meteors that fall from the sky, but they aren't really meteors, they're spaceships. The aliens then try to take over the planet Earth for our resources, the US military goes up against them though and a lot of people die. I'm guessing the Americans win in the end. I posted the trailer below, discuss the movie here.

So it's like Independence Day... except not as ridiculous (I hope).
And perhaps more realistic as to what would happen if aliens really did invade.

It's on my maybe list.

Battle: Los Angeles certainly caters for the Modern Warfare fans and gun-ho movie goers, it really isn't anything more than a close-combat, sentimentalist pile of garbage...

It looks good on the trailers, but it's actually a bit worse and slightly more 'cardboard' than Independence Day, that's in my view of course.

Already seen it, and in spite of I like these kind of movies, I didn't like this one at all. Anyway, I had a great time watching it.

I saw it when it came it, and I must say the I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of action and the story line was pretty decent.

I loved it! It's SO much better than Skyline!
