I read the books first, which I thought were great. Then I saw the first season of the series and was like "wtf?" - mostly because I think the cast is horrible. Not that they're all bad actors or anything, it's just not how I imagined any of the characters at all.

And you're right, it's mostly soft core porn....bleh.

No way.... I had enough of vampires. Twilight ruined everyone vampire related literature, movies, serials for me.
