Default The Avengers

So what you comic nerds/fan boys(girls) expect of this movie?
I just saw Captain America, and at the end of the credits they show a preview or the avengers. I got pretty excited just watching it.

Sadly i cant find the video, only the teaser. All i will say is IT IS SOMETHING TO SEE ALL THE NERD AWESOMENESS IN ONE ROOM. Ok no more caps haha.

Heres the teaser for anyone that wants to watch it.

Okay. I'm not exactly a comic book nerd or anything close to that. But I am a film nerd. I'm not expecting a great film. My prediction will be that it's going to be a big summer blockbuster that will be entertaining to the masses but not a great exercise in good film making.

One of the puzzling choices though is choosing director Joss Whedon. They probably could have hired a much more talented director. And to give him the screenwriter job? Hopefully he doesn't put out another Buffy or Atlantis Script.

Other than that I"m disappointed that Ed Norton won't reprise his role as the hulk. And I'm hoping that they don't clone all the other superhero movies and that they actually put something good out there.

^it is a teaser. The trailer was limiting at best, there isnt much out for the movie yet.

I am not expecting the movie to be amazing ether. I kinda fear that having so many superheros in one film could bring down the overall their characters. But i could be wrong.

I watched Iron Man 2 the night after Captain America.. I felt like it was a movie within a movie. It was nearly Inception. Captain America was an excellent flick, and can't wait for The Avengers

Another thing that's making me skeptical that The Avengers is going to be a good movie is that all of the superhero movies that are leading up to this ranged from bad to just okay. If they can't get a great movie with just one superhero, chances are they probably won't do so well with many of them.

I've seen the Iron Man movies before and I just saw Captain America and I'm already excited for The Avengers. I should probably watch Thor and The Hulk though.
