Default End of Inception

So, I watched Inception again today, and it led me to once again debate the most famous and thought consuming ending of this generation: Is the end really a dream?

I don't think so. I think he really did perform inception, and that his name really was cleared. What do you guys think?

First, I just have to mention I don't think it was as open of an ending as Nolan wanted everyone to believe (For various reasons that are not pertinent to the discussion).

It wasn't a dream. The top made a wobbling noise as the screen faded to black. It would not have made this sound if it was a dream because the top would continue spinning in a smooth manner. SO it's either bad sound editing, A bad projectionist (on my end), or a purposeful move by the director. That ended all thought about the ending for me.

If you need further convincing, I heard that the kids had aged at the end of the film (noted in the IMDB cast list). Cobb was not wearing his wedding ring at the end.

As much as I would love it to be a dream, It wasn't.

Here's the thing: He missed the Kick. And also, the age thing, and the fact that he doesn't wear the wedding ring. And the sound the the top makes^.

The only thing that I know is that Cobb doesn't care if it is a dream or not... He just wants to be with his kids. And that's why he doesn't check the top. Because, he just doesn't care...

Also, I'm pretty sure the totem doesn't work for him, because it was Mal's originally. And well, yeah.

But man, I love talking about Inception, I would have wrote a lot more if I had the time.
