As summer winds to a close so does the film years biggest money making season. This year was filled with many blockbusters, a lot of 3d movies, some surprises and some disappointments.
So what was your favorite movie this summer? The biggest surprise? The biggest disappointment? The worst movie of the summer?
For me, The best movie released this summer was The Tree of Life. Great to see Malick back behind the camera. Honorable mention to Midnight in Paris. Finally, The elder Woody Allen impresses me. The biggest Surprise goes to Super 8. While it was cliche it was still taut and well paced. Nostalgic of the moments I miss when Spielberg and Lucas connected with the audience. The most disappointing was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. II. Movies that work with 2 paces tend to not work very well. And yes, I thought it could have been so much better but it ended up being just commonplace. The worst movie is a tie between Transformers 3 and The Hangover Pt. 2. I'm tired of studios using the same story over and over again. You know it's bad when they start using the same jokes over and over again and they use the same techniques over and over again. A little originality goes a long way.
Overall, just a unremarkable summer with not many great movies (with the exception of 3 or 4).
The biggest disappointment?
Harry Potter, seriously i could've fallen asleep!
One Day, I could've guess what was coming...
All the others i watched came out before this summer! But my favourite film i watched over the summer was Black Swan! It was amazing, and i like ballet too so it was perfect! The worst film i watched over the summer was Kings Speech.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 2. I cry alot anyway but honestly I did not stop crying through the whole thing. It's just kdnfksjbvkjvbjhdrbdj <3
The biggest surprise?
Meeting someone who could make me so unbelievably happy.
The biggest disappointment?
I haven't been dissapointed this summer.
The worst movie of the summer?
Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.
I did not sleep that night.
I almost fell asleep several times watching it. The acting wasn't up to par. I just say it as a waste of money. I was basically able to plan out how it was going, and how it would end.

Little white flowers will never awaken you, not when the cold depths have all but overtaken you.
Dearest, The days are all so long,
and in the shadows I spend them all.
My heart and I long for slumber.
Slumber I'm caressing you, I bless your touch, I lust for you.
Slumber you are not a dream, Not as much as you seem.

Yup, I really enjoyed Bridemaids, CrazyStupidLove, Horrible bosses (MOTHERFUCKER JONES!), and I thought Bad Teacher, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean were alright.
poiler Alert: Captain America
My biggest disappointment of the summer has to be Captain America. The trailer made it look so action packed and awesome, but the movie was just one massive, boring dialogue-fest. Half the movie is about CA's origins the rest is how he actually becomes Captain America. I was annoyed at the end how he woke up in the 21st century, and how he doesn't get to see his girlfriend again. But I guess they needed to make it like that, because of The Avengers coming out in 2013 I think, that should be awesome.
