My Sister's Keeper for sure, its like the only book i've read in awhile. I loved both the book and the movie. I am not sure which ending I liked better, both were good and had me in tears.

John Carpenter's 'The Thing', based on the sci-fi/horror novella 'Who Goes There?' by John W. Campbell, Jr

Literature and film are two different mediums. I would maintain that what makes a good movie and what makes a good book are almost mutually exclusive. A book can be made into a good film if the story contains elements that would make it a good film. But those elements aren't what make it a good book. See Bazin for a more intricate argument relating to this idea.

I usually don't like movies that have come from books, they're never as good and usually miss out lots of detail from the book.
But I do like: My Sisters Keeper, Forrest Gump and Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
