Once John Williams stops composing, Steven Spielberg is going to have a real tough time replacing him. His films will lose that certain touch that he's had for all but two of his feature films. Which is too bad.
Upon seeing War Horse, the one scene that popped out to me was the final scene. And I mention that because it contains a sort of perfection. The color palate, the camerawork, the sentimentality all approach perfection. But so does the final song, composed by John Williams. He effectively doubles the effect of the last scene with the score.

Hmmm... Tricky question really, there are a lot to chooose from.
Gladiator was one of the best scores in my opinion. I liked that it had the impression of Wagner's style, also Lisa Gerrard is a legend, the song " Now We Are Free " had very difficult tones as to human performance which she did pretty well.
Harry Potter, all the parts composed by John Williams was incredibly awesome.
Black Hawk Down, it didn't really have very hard compositions, but I think it was a great score.
The Lord of The Rings, the score gave that movie a special flavor.
Kingdom of Heaven, it was a brilliant mix between the Arabic music and the Christian music. (Music of the church)
King Arthur, might not be like a very special score, but I liked the compositions there pretty much.
The Last Samurai, Japanese music mixed with Zimmer's flavor. Though before making the score of the movie, Zimmer said he won't do good in Japanese music because he doesn't know much about it.
I still can think of a lot more...
I forgot to mention Braveheart score, it was brilliant as well.
It's really the time for humanity to take a dump.
Notes: - Absent because of exams.
- New profile song added.
I love all the tracks by Hans Zimmer that I've heard, especially from "The Ring" and "Inception". I also like the soundtracks of:
"Saving Private Ryan",
"The Omen" (2006),
"The Prince of Darkness",
and "The Thing" (1982)
I'd also like to say that Ravi Shankar did some pretty badass stuff for Satyajit Ray. The music for Pather Panchali, Aparajito, and Apur Sansar is absolutely delightful. And that Danny elfman is overrated.
Just curious: How in the world did you get those Bengali movies being in the USA?? I've never heard that they were exported to foreign countries or that they were ever translated into English.

I was lucky actually. From what I know, you can't buy a english subbed/dubbed version of any of the Bengali movies here. But Every 4 or 5 years, at a film festival near my hometown, they screen a few Bengali films with English subtitles. They usually focus on a certain director or something like that. So that's where I've seen them. It's too bad that they aren't available on DVD though. There are a few that I would love to own.

Oh, OK I'm actually a Bengali boy. But I don't usually like the Bengali films because they're usually just action and/or romance, with in-between songs (which actually disturb my enjoyment). But there are a few that I love, which were written by Satyajit Ray.
