What is your favorite time travel related movie?

Mine is Back to the Future

This is cheating a bit but I think it fits the category, although in a different sense than a traditional straight forward time travel movie. But, It's gotta be the Capra Classic It's a Wonderful Life. Great performance by Stewart, solid direction by Capra, great script, a morbid sense of humor and an unexpected jump to an alternate timeline and the reign of Pottersville.

Of course, there are other great movies that fit the time travel category in a much more traditional sense. Primer is absolutely stunning and gives time travel the intellectual treatment it deserves. Great film and a real mind fuck. And who can forget Donnie Darko. Enough said about that.

I have heard about them but have never seen them myself.

"Back To The Future" and "Donnie Darko" are two of my favourites, too. Other than that, though, I think that "The Butterfly Effect" deserves to be mentioned as well!

I absolutely must throw in Bill and Ted's Excellent (air guitar!) Adventure.

@time thief maybe you have said else where but why do you have a love for lime travel?

ot: i love Its a Wonderful World, it may be my fav movie ever. But ya i dont think its a time travel movie. There's one movie i cant think of that i thought was cool but cant remember it. Im not into time travel movies per se im more into mind travel like Inception or Memento
