Default Laws in Canada

Aight, so for the Canadian people here I was wondering if you would mind telling me some of the laws/rules in Canada. More specifically, British Columbia. I may be looking to move there in a year or so possibly so I was curious, especially about the gun laws. So yeah, I know I could google this but that's all confusing and technical and crap.

Also, information about moving there and what's needed legal wise and all that nonsense.

obv i know i need a passport to go there though :p

I wish to live in Canada someday, or visit in the least. I've done my good share of studying on the laws and requires. Does not look good for me but that's okay xD!

Gun laws... I'm not sure about BC but I think for the major of Canada, the laws are very different from the USA. As in you may not hold possession of a gun unless you are a licenced Cop or somebody who requires a gun for their job or hobby (such as a hunter who hunts Dear for a hobby). I cannot back this up though because I live in Israel so! Other laws would include things like fishing and the like. Anything about seasons xD
For the most part I think that the laws are very similar to the USA except for their Health Care systems and that houses are more expensive (in a place like BC) than the USA.

As said I cannot back this up; so don't trust my word 100% xD

Gun laws in Canada are pretty strict. I don't know if it it the same in BC as it is in Ontario, but here you have to have your firearm locked up in your house. shooting someone even in self defense does not count. and is only legal to have in your home and and at the firing range/hunting ground. so if you stop for gas and have a gun in the trunk on the way to the range, you could technically be arrested.

I barley know anyone who even owns a firearm, especially an automatic. guns are pretty hard to come by.

I think the rules are reasonable enough, but i will leave my personal views on cilvillains and firearms for another day.

but if you're living in Vancouver watch yourself, the east side is the worst in the whole country.

Gun Laws of Canada. My Specialty.

1: Three classes of firearms, Non-res, restricted and prohib.
Non Rest: Most long guns and common shotguns.
Restricted: Any handguns not prohib, SBR's and a few other rifles by name (AR-15 among others)
Prohib: Anything with a fun switch. Any handgun that shoots .25 or .32. and more guns by name (AK 47 and its variants)

Two types of licences available to the public, Restricted and non restricted.
Both require a test. Generally both done at the same time, which is what i've done.

Restricted firearms aren't allowed to be stored without a trigger lock and in a secure container. Nor are they allowed to be transported on your person at any time. In fact, you need a licence to take your restriced guns from your home... or to move them from any place to another.

Long guns must be unloaded during transportation.

Oh screw it, here. http://www.howtogetagun.ca/

Oh, fkn Canada. Eh?
Most of the laws are bullshit, IMO. But as long as there's a pig to enforce em, I'm following em.

Those look like some solid laws.
I thought all Canadians did was apologise to each other.
