How do I convince my step-mom to not force me to wear tighty whitie briefs after I've worn boxers for 2 years

Since my parents got divorced I live with my dad and stepmom. She is in her late 20s.

I'm 14 and have been wearing boxers since I was 12. I had been begging my mom for years to let me wear boxers, and was so embarrased when anyone saw my briefs. I alwasy hated briefs, even when anyone got a little peek I was red. One of the worst incidents was in 6th grade when I got into a fight with a bigger kid, and my pants slid down a little bit. This girl who hated me and I argued with a lot saw my briefs and said "nice briefs, I like them". I never lived that down So she finally gave in. And I was finally part of the in crowd. I would pull my boxers above my jeans to let everyone see.

My stepmom has no respect for my privacy, and walks in on me all the time. She saw me in my boxers, and had a stupid smirk on her face and said "who in their right mind would let a little boy wear men's underwear, I'm going to buy you some proper underwear right away". She made a really big scene to humilate me.

She threw away all of my boxers, and made ME have to chip in for the tighty whities briefs with my own money. I complained to my dad but hes no help.

I'm on the baseball and track teams and dont want to change in the lockers in briefs. And I certainly don't want girls seeing them, especially since I'm becoming a high school sophomore.

How do I convince her?

I say buy your own and wash them yourself! Or tell her exactly how you feel and why, maybe she'll change her mind, who knows.. I understand it must be making you feel uncomfortable and really if I was in your position I'd buy them and keep them away from her and wash them myself, altho I dunno, you might feel like your lying to her but after all if your dad won't help and shes not your real mum, I'd go ahead.. I kind of use to be like that with make up, slightly differant.. but it was getting to the stage where everyone else my age was wearing it and I felt I needed it too, my mum would throw any of mine out,so I started buying it and keeping it somewhere she wouldn't get it and putting it on when I wasn't around her or out of the house.. as years went on, It started to matter less and I didn't mind if she seen, and I have no need to hide it anymore.

Say that they make you really uncomfortable?
I don't know, with that personality, I'm not sure that would work.

You could just flat out say that they make you feel uncomfortable and that she shouldn't force you to wear underwear that does that to you.

Or you can beg your friends to lend their boxers to you. I've had some friends who've done this before... You just gotta be real good at hiding them.

i don't know.. but yeah, you should just tell her. she can't decide what underwear your going to wear! i mean, why does she even care? or go out and buy your own and wash them yourself, like tayune said.

firstly i think its unfair you get forced to wear briefs:

Uncomfy
no one really wears them
your choice

and also you don't get to sag them. I sag my pants, and I think it's well cool you lift your boxers above your pants so everyone can see them. I only sag at home, but wish i had courage to do it at school scared people might not think i should do it, but all my friends do it. so, should I? and good luck

She should respect your choice. It is your choice not hers.

I personally find discusting that people sag their pants to show their boxers, but that's just my opinion. If you want to do it, then do it. Do it if you feel confortable dressing like that, than go ahead. Your mother's opinion is important, but not divine nor absolute in this matter. Respect her opinion but make her see that you prefer boxers.

Just tell her boxers are far more confortable for you, tell her you preffer it, it's your choise!
