Women's rights or not, doesn't change how they only make men look at us like we are sex toys and not people. Yeah, equal rights, what a laugh.
Too bad women back then didn't realize that if you dressed respectfully that you got treated with more respect. And that if you dress like walking sex you get treated like walking sex.
That's another reason i don't like them. It's hypocrisy. If I wanted to be treated equal then I dress with respect, not like a sex object, otherwise I'll be treated like a sex object. Where's women's rights in that?

Like the guy above me said, it was a symbol of being able to wear what they liked, no being skanky at all, obviously some women wear them to look like a slut but you can't just stereotype people who wear short skirts as skanky especially when short skirts were a huge symbol of women's freedom to wear what they liked.
I find it hard to think that wearing a short skirt is not "dressing with respect" especially if you just like how they look and don't wear them for any other purposes.
