...post a picture, if you can.
I'm looking for something past shoulder-length (I like my hair long... it's almost all the way down my back right now), maybe layered, kind of choppy? I also like sideswept bangs.
What's your hair type like, how do you like to wear it, & how long are you willing to spend on styling every day? (And how much are you willing to spend ultimately!)

If not, do it. I'm beginning to get the impression that 50% of TF is populated by literate parrots/sentient mirrors.
I have very fine/thin hair. I wear it down about 95% of the time, and I usually just wash it , let it air dry (sometimes use the blow dryer if I'm in a hurry), and then straighten it (straightening usually takes about 20 minutes).
I'm getting it done for free because my Godmother owns a beauty salon & she does it for free for me for Christmas (:

Ooooh, lucky you!
With such long hair you've got a lot to 'work with' and so can have a lot of styles that seem shorter but in fact require quite a volume of hair.
Personally I adore wavy hair, especially if it's thin and well 'separated' in the length/ends of the hair - you can get it razored to achieve that look. It also looks really feminine and doll-esque (Imo!) when it's straightened. I'd post a picture for there's a lot of variety and I don't want to post something dead wrong & put you off. Go to Google and have a gander! It's gorgeous to wear behind your shoulders and down your back.
That would give you more volume nearer your jawline and at the roots of your hair, esp. if you got layers cut in. I'm a massive fan of layers because you can smooth them, curl them, tease them ... and they can really change the way your hair sits. They also make your hair look really cute if you're just doing a messy up-do.
And if you like bangs, gogogo. They go with eeeverything.
