They do need to heal. I would personally wait.

Baby is this love for real?
Let me in your arms to feel,
the beating of your heart baby...

if he said it takes 3 months you should just wait. he makes a living off of it and he probably knows what's best

dang, 3 months is a LONG time, i've normally waited a month, only cause it took me that long to get the new ones.. how new is the piercing itself, and what size gauge? really needs more info to give a good answer...

quite a difference between a 16 and a 10... i assume you're just starting out, so probably a 16, yes. 3 months is foreverrrr, when the difference between sizes is still so small for those first few size jumps, 2 weeks should be fine. hell, i went from 20 [what they're pierced at normally], to 16, to 14 in about a week total, then waited longer between stretches as they got bigger. just wait till your ears feel totally healed up, rub and pull slightly on them every once in a while [not too hard though!], just to loosen them up and make it easier. you should be fine.

just make sure you STOP stretching if it ever hurts too much. you don't want to tear your lobes, which WILL happen if you stretch too big, too soon. i've had it happen, it was not a fun experience. however, at that small, you really don't have to worry about it for a while.

Little white flowers will never awaken you, not when the cold depths have all but overtaken you.

Dearest, The days are all so long,
and in the shadows I spend them all.
My heart and I long for slumber.
Slumber I'm caressing you, I bless your touch, I lust for you.
Slumber you are not a dream, Not as much as you seem.

You don't know. He knows. It's his profession. You should do what he said or at least talk to him before doing whatever you want to do. You really want to screw them up badly?
