Default industrial piercing?

Hi, I have been wanting an industrial piercing but a while now, and I wanted to know if anyone had one and could tell me about their experience, and tips and if it's worth getting? And what gauge yours is? I'm wanting to get mine done at a 16g, are the holes very big and visible? How much does it hurt? Thanks for any info anyone can give me<3

Hi Becka, looks like no one responded. However, I recommend thinking about it and have some females to discuss this with or your friends.

My opinion: I would never get any piercings done. I'm not a fan of them, if you are - that's great. However, it will hurt for the first time since they need to pierce it. But, you may want to grip on something like someone's hand or a chair or something because it will hurt. You may also want to have a friend keep your mind off the piercing by having a conversation, it'll hurt less.

i agree with Apple , Tatto and Piercings need some time to think !

sometimes we put up walls , not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to knock them down.

Sorry to sound so stupid- but what is an industrial piercing? Is it the same as a normal one?

To be honest I didn't know either; when I first read the title I instantly thought of an ear pierced with a nail or something.

I had it once - and yes, it hurt quite a bit. It really depends on how much pain you can stand.
After it will be pierced, the following days to become will be like hell for you, especially during night times.

i have a friend who just got one, and i just have my cartilage pierced normally..
i think they're really cool, but i heard that they hurt quite a bit. you can't put like...ANY pressure on that ear for months or it feels like its being pulled out. once it heals, it shouldn't be a problem though. as for the size, 16 is a good size to get anything like that pierced at. they make a lot of jewelry in that size, so you can find a lot to put in it once you can change it out. my piercing was done at a 20G..like regular earrings..but i managed to gauge it up on my own to 16G. which i would NOT recommend, and i only did that like..6 years later cause i wanted that ring in it... but anyway! a 16G hole is not any more visible than that of a regular earring, so unless someone is wayyy up close, they will not be able to pick it out. i would say get it if you want it, and its not like you couldn't just take it out some day if you decide you don't like it anymore.

sorry that was pretty long, hope i helped. :]
