I'm the heir of a lot of things, including furs to wear. They are pretty old, since they are my grandmother's. Therefore, I don't think it's ''as bad''... like, at the time, most animals still were more abundant than they are nowadays.
I don't know if I'm the type to wear such things though, maybe when I'm older or if I'm really cold haha.
As for what I think of it, well, it's a shame human kind always has to be so extreme to the point of bringing some species to extinction because of greed. The act of wearing fur honestly reminds me of Prehistorical times, and so, it sounds kind of a natural thing to do.
But yeah. It's a touchy subject.
Suddenly my eyes are open
Everything comes into focus, oh!
We are all illuminated,
Lights are shining on our faces
We are, we are blinded ! We are, we are blinded !
I don't have any use for fur, really- its not nearly cold enough in Florida for it. However, I see nothing wrong with wearing things like leather, because the animal was already killed anyways, and if you are going to kill and animal, as much as the body as possible should be used.

You wouldn't have payed for it so no I guess it's not as bad, you're not feeding the industry. But you'd still be promoting the wearing of fur. :3
And if you're cold you can just wear one of the authentic coats, maybe a different looking coat completly. There's many things you can wear to warm you up
But yeah... I doubt it's anything but natural To be honest.

The majority (85%) of fur industry's skins come from animals on fur farms who spend their entire short and painful lives in filthy wire cages. :3 Also, they have to use cheap ways of killing them, and ways that doesn't damage the fur (typical throat slitting etc) so they use suffocation, electrocution, poisoning, gassing etc...
I have no real reason to wear furs. It's 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the dead of winter.
I would though, the animals are farmed for their purposes. It isn't humane, but either is the food we eat. I can't be hypocritical and say that it's okay to eat animals treated this way, but not wear them.
It is fucked up, how they're treated, but i'm not a hypocrite.
Are you one of them people that wear fur? nope
Have you ever worn fur? nope, it's not that cold, (or fashion too much?) where I live
Do you think it's ok? for fashion purposes nope, for surviving a cold winter sure
I have some mink earrings that belonged to my great great great grandma. I won't ever wear them though.
I wouldn't buy fur and don't wish to wear it.
I don't agree with poaching etc but things like cows=leather I'm not against. They're killed for food too so at least their body isn't going to waste.

No one has any reason to wear fur. Not even those living in the freezing cold. There's warmer coats out there that didn't used to have a face.
And just because you eat meat doesn't mean you have to follow the whole torture thing. It's not hypocritical, at all. What IS hypocritical is you saying you think it's not human yet wearing it because you don't want to seem a hypocrite.
Oh, and Jews, blacks, gypsies, christians... pretty much every type of person has been killed for a purpose but was it right then? Noo.
