Just out of curiosity, what is LGBT tolerance like in your area? in law and in the treatment of the members of the lgbt community by the general population.
the situation is rather harrowing here. Discrimination on the grounds of sexuality is not unconstitutional here. The government censors and bans any media with homosexual themes. The laws discriminate against lgbt individuals. The people here are thoroughly and openly intolerant. They openly harass and brutalize homosexual men, and they're allowed/expected to.
I'm not sure, to be honest. Depends who you are with
Me and my friends are OK with anyone LGBT, and so is the majority of the people in my school. But a lot of the youth here... I doubt are as tolerant xD
Well, the public opinion became a lot better her during the last years, now 65% are OK with it - in my city, the capital this is 80%+
Well, in Hungary there is general laws against discrimination for everyone, so gays as well, and as a EU member country it has to be like that.
LGBT people can register that they are a couple, but marriage is not allowed, nor adopting children. Even if most people are OK with it, it means that they are not against, but not for.
Homosexuality in media? Yeah, we have, not that much, but still - which is totally okay.

It's illegal in my country, but the law isn't actually enforced. Nobody gives a shit if you're LGBT or not, they just get on with their day. You'll find a few gay clubs+bars around, one of my friends accidently stepped into one when he was wasted haha, we still make fun of him for it xD.
And I know in Dubai it's illegal as well, but they have loads of different locations for gays to meet up and just party and socialize. The locations change everytime, and if the police get a tip or something they'll go tell everyone to leave and break up the party but that's about it, nothing else.
Obviously if they catch you having same-sex intercourse you'll be in major shit, but that's how it is in any Muslim country really.
It's a bit different in the media; like if Glee was on T.V and the 2 gay guys (Kurt and the other) in that show had a kiss they'd just cut it out. But if you got the Glee DVD's for example, it wouldn't be cut out. Nothing really strict.

The government is completely tolerant towards any LGBT here, but the society and general population are not. But, it depends where you go. If you go into Lisbon or Porto, people are usually more openminded and more tolerant towards it. But, if you go into the suburbs of these cities or any other city in the interior, they're quite intolerant towards LGBTs.
"If I do good, people might accuse me of selfish, ulterior motives, but I will still do it. Because I believe no one is malicious, not in their core, in their raw being.
The best in them is clouded by sorrows and fears, take those away and you'll bring out the brightest of lights in them.
Because no one can be happy without being kind, without giving ourselves to another, and we all love to give ourselves, it is our true nature.
That is why, even if I might get disappointed, I'll always give the best I've got. A single candle can light a thousand others and still burn." - Skezra
Everyone seems to be okay with it, I don't really care about it, just don't want to see any public displays of affection, heterosexual or homosexual. There are the Mormons however, who voted as a collective to not allow homosexuals to get married in California, regardless of their own beliefs on the subject.
I often don't have a rhyme or reason, only a rhythm.
