OMG, so many, just off the top of my head, and in no particular order:

1) Billie Holiday

2) Maria Callas

3) Diana Washington

4) Etta James

Golly, everyone after that isn't really in the same category for me, so as i think of them, I'll give them their own post. If you haven't heard them, I highly recommend a few hours of listening!

My favorite voices are guys with higher pitched voices, such as Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin, Freddie Mercury from Queen, Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria.

However some of my favorite singers are the people who don't have the greatest voice in the world, but have alot of passion in their music, such as Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst(Bright Eyes), and Perry Ferral(Jane's Addiction)

1. Corey Taylor (Slipknot) despite being slightly tone deaf, corey taylor takes the cake here
2. David Draiman (Disturbed) very unique and rare voice
3. Ivan Moody (5 Finger Death Punch) he's pretty good on vocals when he tries
4. Layne Staley (Alice in Chains) come on, who doesn't like him
5. Martin Cock/Cameron Heacock (American Head Charge) very underrated
6. Matt Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold) he's not bad either
