There was a sort of party at this guy tom's house last night which i didn't go to because i wouldn't be able to get home. i find out this morning that my best friend got off with him all night, which would be fine, except she knows that our other friend really likes him. and she knows this because she was told, in confidence and then went and told everyone else because she thought it was funny. now she's being shockingly cavalier about the whole thing and is just saying 'well i hope this means she won't talk to me anymore'. basically, the friend who likes tom drives us nuts and we would rather not be friends with her most of the time, but to me this whole situation is just cruel and i am fed up of cleaning up me best friends messes. she doesn't seem to care how much stress she is causing me by doing all of this because i'm the one who has to go and clean it all after but she doesn't get why i do it, but she doesn't see the effect she is having on people and i have a feeling this is getting a bit repetitive now but just URGH! can't she be a mature human being for once and actually think about her actions, before she does them!!!!!

Sounds like the friend who was getting off with Tom, wants rid of the other friend who likes Tom, therefore, if you don't want anything to do with it, distance yourself. I don't mean, wipe our your friendships with both of them. But let them sort it out, it sounds like you need a break anyway

I know what you mean. Whenever my friends have a fight, I'm usually the mediator. I got fed up with it one night and kind of yelled at one of my best friends about it over the phone because her and another friend of mine were getting into a fight.

I get sick a lot and I know it's because of all the stress that I get every day. I'm sick for a week long; I think it's just my body telling me that I need at break from everyone and everything. Some down time, if you will.

That's what you need. If they come to you, just take a step back and say "This is something that you two need to work out, it's not my problem."

Just because she's so immature doesn't mean you have to clean up her messes.. it's better if you allow her to fix whatever crap she did...
